Students Providing Educational Access for Kids : Cambodia
In July of 2007, Putney Student Travel took 15 high school students from across the United States on a Global Awareness in Action program, designed to inform the American youth about the problems plaguing the international community. This specific trip focused on learning about women's and children's issues in Cambodia.

After spending a little more than one week in Cambodia, we found that we were unable to leave a lasting effect while we were in the country. We simply did not have the resources or the time to change the lives of the people who had changed ours. Armed with the desire to do more, we launched SPEAKcambodia - a non-profit organization working to provide educational opportunities for disadvantaged Cambodian children.
